Week 4: Food web

Purpose & Objectives

Students construct the leopard’s food web using the leopards prey. This will demonstrate the energy flow of the leopards ecosystem and also highlights predator-prey relationships.

Classroom activity

• Students create a food web diagram with their picture and description of prey species and add it to the classroom display.
• Plot the data points from their leopard.

Independent activity

Each student is to describe the key habitat requirements of the leopard, taking into account the needs of their prey.
