Duzi

The only surviving daughter of Nyoka, Duzi is now almost two-years of age and developing nicely as a transient sub-adult. For the most part, she has remained within her natal range though periodically she makes large forays that have taken her deep into Zulu communities, hunting farms and, on one occasion, into the middle of a pineapple field! Despite her age she is a prolific hunter and has been seen to subdue prey species many times her weight and does not appear to be struggling in anyway providing for herself. With the death of her sister, Saba, she is now the only leopard to have been recruited into the population during the time of the study period.
