Purpose & Objectives
There are always two sides to every story and it is important to recognise this. Often it is the people with an opposing view to you that are doing the damage, but it is these people you need to help to fix the problem. If farmers are losing precious stock to leopards then it is understandable that they would want to irradicate these animals. Often there are compromises available that will allow both carnivore and human to co-exist.
Classroom activity
- Students should engage in a debate or role play.
- List the main factors of the Human Carnivore Conflict on the class display.
- Plot the data points from their leopard.
Independent activity
Each student should come up with a creative idea to solve or minimise one of the issues of the Human carnivore conflict. |
